Requirements for Encrypting and Uploading a Batch File Using the REST API {#batch-uploading-rest-api-requirements}

* Your system is running Java 8 or newer.
* You created a CSV-formatted file that specifies the payment transactions you want to have batch processed. See [Create a Batch File](/docs/cybs/en-us/batch/user/all/rest/batch-upload/batch-files-managing/batch-files-managing-batch-create.md "").
* You have read access to your CSV-formatted batch file.
* You have read and write access to the directory where you will create the encrypted version of the batch file.
