Working with a Technology Partner

You can authorize a technology partner's solution to process transactions on behalf of your merchants. To authorize a solution, you must grant a transacting merchant account permission to use the
partner solution key
associated with the solution. You can give your transacting merchants permission to use a key by onboarding a new merchant or updating an existing merchant with the key information.
Cybersource
also ensures that the registered solution only performs actions authorized by your merchants.
This section describes how to onboard or update a transacting merchant account with a partner solution key.
Partner Solution Types
These are the types of solutions technology partners can register to be used by merchants:
  • API-only integrations
  • Desktop software
  • Hybrid approaches
  • Mobile applications
  • Plugins
  • Terminal integrations
  • Web applications
Benefits
A partner solution key improves your organization's experience by:
  • Reducing the time required to manage API security keys.
  • Manage which endpoints a merchant's transactions can use.
  • Delegating key management to the Technology Partner.
  • Enabling and disabling the web-application from processing transactions.
