Set Up Tasks {#boarding-partner-solution-key-overview}

To set up a partner solution key as a partner reseller, you must complete the tasks described in this section.

1. Identify a technology partner who you want to work with and establish a relationship.
2. Grant authorization to the technology partner's solution in order for the technology partner to process transactions on-behalf of your transacting merchants. To grant authorization, use one of these methods:
   * For **existing** merchants, grant authorization using the PICS API. For more information, see [Add a Partner Solution Key to an Existing Transacting Merchant](/docs/cybs/en-us/boarding/developer/all/rest/boarding/boarding-partner-solution-key-intro/boarding-pics-tenant-intro.md "").
   * For **new** merchants who you are boarding, use the boarding API. For more information, [Add a Transacting Merchant with a Partner Solution Key](/docs/cybs/en-us/boarding/developer/all/rest/boarding/boarding-partner-solution-key-intro/boarding-partner-solution-key-create-new-mid.md "").
3. Coordinate with the technology partner to verify that they have all of your merchant information needed for testing.
4. Go live by coordinating with the technology partner and `Cybersource` to verify that all merchant accounts in the production environment are enabled with a partner solution key.
