Getting Started

Jotform Prerequisites

In order to use the Jotform integration for Cyber source, please make sure you have an active instance of Jotform, and are familiar with the process to add integrations to your forms.

Cybersource Prerequisites

You will be able to configure this integration to either Test or Production. If you do not yet have a live Cybersource account, or you wish to first test the integration, then creating a sandbox account will not only allow you to start programmatic integration but also provides access to the Merchant Portal.

Generate SOAP Keys

Before configurating this integration, you are required to generate your SOAP .p12 keys within your Merchant Portal for both (Live) and (Test).

  • Sign into your Merchant Portal account (Live) and (Test).
  • Access Payment Configuration -> Key Management
  • Select the 'Generate Key' button in the top right hand corner
  • Select your key type as 'Simple Order API' and Generate Key
  • Select Download Key, and save a password
  • Complete the download, and save your key securely.



 

 

 

Add the Cyber Source Integration to your Form.

Log in to your Jotform Form Builder and select Add To Form under the Cyber Source listing.

Introduce Cyber Source Intergation

In Form Builder, click on Add Element on the left side of the page.

In the Form Elements menu, under the Payments tab, search for CyberSource, and then click on it. Or, just drag and then drop it to where you want it to be on your form.

You will be presented with the Cyber Source integration window on the right, which you can begin to populate with your Cybersource credentials.

Configure the Cyber Source Integration Window

Complete the following:

  • Merchant ID; The unique identifier for your Cybersource account
  • Transaction Key: This key is generated in your Merchant Portal. It authorizes and encrypts transaction requests between Jotform and Cyber Source.
  • Currency: Select one of the currencies available with the integration.
  • Bill to: This is required. Enable this to collect the customer’s billing information during checkout. Make sure it matches the Email Address field on your form.
  • Billing address: This is also required. Enable this to collect the customer’s full billing address, including street, city, state, and ZIP/postal code. Make sure your form includes an Address field to capture this information.

Configuring Payer Authentication

Payer Authentication (3D Secure) is optional, but strongly recommended.
Using 3DS can help reduce fraud, improve chargeback protection, and support issuer approval decisions.
You can enable it based on your risk strategy and business needs.

To enable Payer Authentication, toggle the Enable 3D Secure 2.0 option. 

Enter the following obtained in Step 1:

  • Cardinal API Key: Use this secure credential to authenticate and authorize 3D Secure requests through CardinalCommerce.
  • Cardinal API Identifier: Use this public identifier to link your CardinalCommerce account to the integration.
  • Cardinal OrgUnit ID: Use this ID to map transactions to the correct business unit or configuration in CardinalCommerce.

Configure the Payment Type Dropdown Menu

This will determine the type of payment that will use the Cyber Source integration.

  • Sell Products: This is selected by default. Use this to sell physical or digital goods at a fixed price, allowing customers to make a one-time purchase.
  • Sell Subscriptions: Choose this to charge customers on a recurring basis for services, memberships, or other ongoing access.
  • User-Defined Amount: This lets customers enter the amount they want to pay. It’s useful for tipping, custom amount pricing, or flexible payments.
  • Collect Donations: Select this to accept voluntary contributions, commonly used for fundraising, nonprofit support, or charitable causes.

Click on Continue to start creating products and subscriptions for your payment field. For the User Defined Amount and Collect Donations payment types, just click on Save at the bottom.

    Expand Additional Gateway Settings

Review the list of options, and adjust based on the payment type you have selected.

  • Show Total Price on the Form: This is only available with the Sell Products payment type and is enabled by default. Toggle this Off if you want to hide the total price of selected products on your form.
  • User Can Select Multiple Products: This is only available with the Sell Products payment type and is enabled by default. Toggle this Off if you want customers to select only one (1) product per submission.
  • Sandbox Mode: Toggle this On to run test transactions before going live.
  • Authorization Only: This authorizes the card without collecting funds immediately.
  • Clickable Image Preview: This is only available with the Sell Products and Sell Subscriptions payment types and is enabled by default. Toggle this Off to prevent customers from enlarging product or subscription images.
  • Show Decimals on the Form: This is only available with the Sell Products and Sell Subscriptions payment types and is enabled by default. Toggle this Off to hide decimals on both the item prices and total amount.
  • Decimal Separator: Choose the symbol used to separate decimals (e.g., period or comma).
  • Order Prefix: This prefix will be appended to the beginning of the Order ID that’s sent to CyberSource.
